VARNISHING-DAY
Works of the artist Tatiana Belokonenko
Tatiana Belokonenko was born in the town of Odessa in 1969 in the sailor’s family.
Tatiana considers her mother the main and determinable person concerning the choice of profession and consequently the life road.
In her time she saw in her daughter the love for drawing despite her studies playing piano at the Musical Academy.
Hence goes musicality and melodiousness of her painting.
Everything influences the painter that surrounds him in life. These are the child art school and voyages along various ports of the former Union to meet
the father accompanied by her mother. The towns of Murmansk and Klaipeda, Nikolaev and Vladivostok, Ventspills and Sebastopol, Riga and Tallin opened the rich world
of fine art and architecture that was impossible not to come to love. But Odessa, its streets, squares, architectural ensembles remained her main and the most
important love. The Tania Belokonenko collection includes the works “My Odessa”, “Potemkin’s stairs” and many others. She loves the sea passionately, sincerely, selflessly.
Therefore it was natural that her work presented for diploma on graduation of the art-graphic faculty of the Odessa pedagogical institute was dedicated to
the sea – this is the whole cycle of sea views pierced by light and air, “paints’ explosion” and emotionalism like on the canvases of her beloved impressionists.
Tatiana’s creative work spectrum was extended by her working at the Odessa’s private Jewish school “Or sameah” – including creation of logotypes, scenaries,
premises’ design…
Tatiana Belokonenko has repatriated for Israel in 1999. Jagur became “The first house in native land” where the painter’s first personal exhibitions took place.
Her works are so diverse in stile and plans that it is difficult to believe whether they were out of the brush of the same author. But there is one great uniting
thing – they radiate warmth and light of inexhaustible summer. She does not like when it is cold, and it may be seen in flowering of paints on her canvases and
wall-paintings. She likes representing the world in all its diversity. But the portraits where we observe a dialogue between the painter and the model, take a special place.
During years of creative work in Israel Tatiana participated in group and personal exhibitions. The young painter has made tremendous wall-paintings of
the moon-park in Grand-canyon-more 6000 m (Haifa), lobby at the old people's home “Kipat ha-zahav” (Haifa), creating and making of decorations for cinema,
theatre, television channel “Israel plus”, design of interieurs for café, restaurants, child’s rooms, staging of the London museum “Dinosaurs” exhibition
exposition in Tel-Aviv… A lot of works are in private collections. The year 2006 was very successful for Tatyana. This year she became the winner of the most prestigious
prize of Israel Russian-speaking community “The person of year-2006” in the nomination “Investment at Israel fine arts”.
